Everything you need to use the logo correctly.
The official files of the Ankara University TEKMER mark, its colour codes, typefaces and usage rules, on one page. Use these files for press, partnership and event material.
Logo kit
Three variants, one lockup.
The official kit is the vertical lockup: the mark on top, the institution's name below. The three files are three presentations of that same lockup — transparent, white and navy.

Navy on transparent
Use it when you choose the background yourself. It reads on light, plain surfaces; switch to the white variant on dark, patterned or photographic ones.

Navy on white
A ready square crop for places that cannot carry transparency: office documents, deck covers, print.

White on navy
The only right choice on a dark surface. Do not add a border or a box to separate the mark from its background.

The horizontal lockup is not part of the official kit.
Awaiting brand approvalThe header and footer of this site use a HORIZONTAL arrangement, with the institution's name set in two lines beside the mark. That arrangement is NOT in the official logo kit: it was derived to fit a narrow header bar and it is awaiting brand approval. That is why no file is offered for it — never use the horizontal arrangement outside this site; pick one of the three variants above.
Colour
Navy carries, amber points.
The corporate navy is the single opaque colour inside the logo file; the rest of the ramp comes from that same hue. The ratio beside each swatch is its contrast on the stated background, computed as the page renders — never typed in by hand.
Corporate navy

The one opaque colour in the logo file. Headings, body copy and full-width bands.

Page openings and closing bands — one step below the corporate navy.

--navy-100
A soft surface; set ink on top of it.

Amber

The site's single accent. It may only be text on a dark surface.
5.61:1on --navy-900 · Textpasses AA
Amber ink
#8C6121
--amber-ink
Amber's counterpart on light surfaces; accent text drops to this tone there.
4.83:1on --paper-warm · Textpasses AA
Warm paper
#F4F1EA
--paper-warm
The surface of every light section. No cool grey anywhere on the site.
14.34:1on --ink · Surfacepasses AA
Ink
#14203A
--ink
Body copy. Not pure black — a dark with navy in it.
14.34:1on --paper-warm · Textpasses AA
Amber cannot be text on a light surface.
The same amber measures 1.93:1 on warm paper, and the AA threshold is 4.5:1. When light surfaces need amber text, amber ink takes over.
Typography
Headings carry the logo's own letterforms.
The display typeface is Poppins — the same geometric grotesque as the wordmark in the logo. Every cut listed below is genuinely loaded on the site: ask for a weight that is not on the list and the browser falls back to the nearest cut, quietly losing the effect.

Usage rule
The mark needs room to breathe.
Leave clear space on all four sides of the mark, as wide as its smallest block. The measure comes from the mark's own geometry; no text, rule, photo edge or page edge may enter it.
x = the width of the smallest block
The measure scales with the mark: the larger the mark, the larger the clear space. There is no fixed millimetre value.
Misuse
Four common mistakes.
The four specimens below are DELIBERATELY WRONG — each one is drawn exactly as it gets done in practice. The cross drawn over them says these are warnings, not examples to copy.
- Do not
Do not stretch it
The mark's proportions were measured pixel by pixel from the logo file. Stretching it horizontally or vertically breaks the relationship between the five blocks. If it has to fit a box, scale it down without changing the ratio.
- Do not
Do not recolour it
The mark is navy or white. A third colour — even one from the corporate palette — turns it into some other organisation's mark.
- Do not
Do not add a shadow
The mark is a flat surface. A shadow, an emboss or a glow makes it look like a button, and it falls apart in print.
- Do not
Do not place it on a low-contrast surface
A navy mark disappears on a dark background. Use the white variant on dark surfaces; the bar between mark and background is at least 3:1.
